Spread the Word! IMA Launches Chapter Membership Challenge

IMA® chapters can build membership and earn a cash prize through the Chapter Membership Challenge. Now through April 1, 2010, IMA is bringing back this successful campaign. Complete information and special member applications are available through the IMA Chapter Portal at http://chapterportal.imanet.org/view/Marketing.asp.

During this promotion, chapters are encouraged spread the word about the benefits of IMA and bring in as many new members as possible. At the end of the promotion, the chapter in each size category (Stevenson Division and Warner Division) that’s most successful will win a $750 cash prize. To be eligible, chapters must recruit a minimum of five new members within the chapter’s geographic area.

For the new member, IMA will waive the application fee and offer a $20 discount off of the first year’s membership fee.* As always, IMA members enjoy many benefits including professional education, certification, professional publications, in-person and virtual networking, and advocacy for the advancement of the profession.

“IMA has a strong network of local chapters who are always in contact with professionals. The Chapter Membership Challenge is a great way to build membership on the local level, while strengthening IMA’s voice in the profession,” said Dena Botbyl, IMA community support team supervisor.

To help your chapter participate in this campaign, IMA has created a rules sheet, a special one-page membership application, a one-page promotional flyer, and a list of frequently asked questions for potential members. All materials are available through the IMA Chapter Portalhttp://chapterportal.imanet.org/view/Marketing.asp. Chapters with questions regarding the Chapter Membership Challenge can contact Dena Botbyl at (800) 638-4427, ext. 1518.
