Thank you to our Volunteers at the KAET_TV Pledge Drive!

Once again, special thanks go out to our volunteers at the KAET-TV Pledge Drive on June 7.  Nine volunteers from the AZ Valley of the Sun Chapter joined together to provide telephone services for collection of pledge drives for Channel 8.  This was a fun networking event among the volunteers and a great fund-raiser for the KAET-TV Public Broadcasting Services organization.  The volunteers helped to raise over $10,000 during the pledge drive.  IMA volunteers were recognized and much appreciated for their time and volunteer work by KAET-TV.  The volunteers continued to network following the event with lunch at P.F. Chang’s.  Please see our press release at http://www.accountingnewsarticles.com/accounting_articles/2008/06/ima-volunteers-for-the-kaettv-pledge-drive-53694.htm

Thank you to our Volunteers at the Anglers United Fund Raiser!

Special thanks go out to our volunteers at the Anglers United 1st Annual Barbecue held on May 7 at the Pera Club.  Three volunteers from the AZ Valley of the Sun Chapter provided accounting services for registration, casino events, prizes, raffles, live and silent auctions, cash collections, and credit card processing.  This was a fun event and a great fund-raiser for the AZ Anglers United (an organization committed to improving Arizona’s fishing).  IMA volunteers were recognized for their contributions in the Anglers United program.

The Valley of the Sun--Institute of Management Accountants had 8 climbers joining with the other teams to make a difference in the lives of those touched by cancer.

We are pleased to report that the Valley of the Sun IMA raised $3,026, which exceeded our goal of $3,000.  Please visit our volunteer website at http://main.ascevents.org/goto/IMA.

We also received this thank you for our assistance with the Arizona Bighorn Sheep Auction:

IMA Volunteers at the Arizona Bighorn Sheep Auction

Once again, IMA Valley of the Sun volunteers helped at the Arizona Bighorn Sheep Auction, an organization dedicated to the conservation and population enhancement of bighorn sheep in Arizona.  On March 1st, volunteers spent an evening of accepting credit card transactions for auction purchases, exchanging cash for checks or credit card transactions, and keeping track of the auction sales prices. The event was a five-hour fund raising event with raffles, auctions, and cowboy steak dinner for all attendees.

The Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society thanks the IMA volunteers for donating their time for this event!

  Fall Food Drive - THANKS!

The Fall Food Drive was a huge success!  The IMA sponsored the Interfaith Cooperative Ministries (www.icmaz.org) by contributing various non-perishable food items.  We collected donations of $110, which was used at Costco to buy canned foods.  In total, we donated 174 cans of food and 22 packages of various food items.  And, of course, there were cookies for the kids!

The Interfaith Cooperative Ministries were very appreciative and thankful for the donations.

Thank you to everyone that contributed to this worthwhile event!

Dear Members and Guests of Institute of Management Accountants,

I really appreciate the opportunity to make a presentation at your I.M.A. meeting in November.  I am very excited to announce that your members and their families, including Parents and Grandparents have just been awarded a group discount of 8% for any Long Term Care insurance policies purchased.  In addition, a joint policy discount of 80% if available.  Taken together the discounts result in a significant savings, almost resulting in two policies for the price of one.  These discounts are available in 2007, as well.  I look forward to helping you address this important need.

Cordially,

Joseph Rinaldo

$$$ HOW TO KEEP MORE OF WHAT YOU MAKE! $$$
Joseph’s presentation was entertaining, informative and motivating. He made us aware of a broad array of FinancialStrategies and techniques for both personal and business uses. Stretching (not out living) your retirement dollars, usingtax deductible company funds to pay for personal or key executive benefits and protecting your funds from erosion bytaxes, health or long term care needs were just some of the many topics covered. Through his insightful and creativepresentation there was something for everyone to consider taking advantage of and meeting with him about. Those andmany more helpful strategies are available thru the professional series offered by Joseph and PPA, one of the oldestFinancial Institutions of its kind in Arizona (also founded by the Father of EAGP, Ted MacDonald).
